An Empathetic Teacher

What led Jesus to go on into Jerusalem, even knowing that the authorities were ready and waiting for him? Maybe it was the way the crowds stirred his deeply human empathy, as they cried “Hosanna — save now!” How are we, then, called to the same kind of empathy and brave response?
