The religious authorities come at Jesus with a trap of a question in today’s Gospel, but he is ready. It’s an absolutely confounding story at first, but Jesus opens it up into liberation all the same. He redirects our attention to where it really needs to be, and reminds us how he will keep showing up for us, no matter how right or wrong we get any of it. You can listen to Rev.
