New Family Formation Groups

During the summer, a couple of the Vestry members interviewed each family here at Church of the Resurrection to ask them how their children’s spiritual needs are being met. The parents were asked about what has brought their children closer to God and where difficulties have arisen. And they were also asked about what hopes and longings they had for their future here at church. From these interviews, we started the Pizza Club (for our 3-5th graders) which is a monthly pre-youth group for our late elementary kids to begin creating their own church community.  

And on Sunday, October 18th, we are kicking-off a parents of “littler ones” (kindergarten and younger) group as many of these parents longed for a group where they could find companionship from other parents in this same life chapter. We will meet in the Sunday School room on Sunday 10/18 after church for about 30 minutes to talk about what this group might be. Childcare will be provided.
