Mid-week Eucharist

Each Wednesday, we gather for an intimate and more relaxed Eucharist (communion service). We gather our chairs in a circle in front of the altar in our sanctuary, and then decide together who will read the readings from scripture. We share those aloud, and also read about the saint who is remembered on the church’s calendar that day. In place of a sermon, we then have a conversation as a group about where the readings and the saint’s story touch our lives today. We conclude with prayers and share communion. The service lasts less than an hour. It is a lovely way to reset and find our center again in the middle of the week.
