Panel & Evensong with the Rt. Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori
October 18 @ 2:30 pm - 8:00 pm
The Rt. Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, the first woman to serve as presiding bishop, will join us at Grace Cathedral for a panel and Evensong this Sunday, October 18. She’ll be joined on the panel by the Rev. Stephanie Spellers, priest-in-charge at St. Gregory of Nyssa, and by our own Rev. Liz!
The panel begins at 2:30, and will also be livestreamed.
In this 20th anniversary year of Bishop Jefferts Schori’s pathbreaking election and the 50th anniversary of the 1976 General Convention vote supporting the ordination of women to the priesthood, Bishop Jefferts Schori will help us celebrate the audacity of pathbreaking women in The Episcopal Church, continuing the process of widening the gates of ministry for all.
