The first Christians knew that their participation in teaching, learning and fellowship were essential to deepening and enriching their lives as people of faith. They knew that living and growing in Christ involved study and learning. At Church of the Resurrection we recognize this whenever we renew our baptismal promise to take part in these areas of Christian life. Through learning, we are able to build and deepen our relationships with God and one another, to understand our tradition, to grow in our journey of faith, and to be transformed more deeply into the image of Christ.

To that end, everyone is invited to participate in the learning opportunities that are available at Church of the Resurrection. Through them, we can grow in faith and community, and gain in wisdom and knowledge.

Sunday Morning Education Hour

Join us most Sunday mornings in the Parish Hall from 9:00 to 10:00 am and experience a variety of learning opportunities and educational series.

Digital Spirituality

Digital spirituality explores many ways in which you can find spiritual nourishment inside of church and out in the world, on your own or in community. Women's Retreat

Each fall, women from our congregation gather for a retreat at the Bishop's Ranch in Healdsburg, California. We begin our retreat Friday evening with a potluck dinner. Our community is made up of people of all ages, religious backgrounds, political positions, family configurations, ethnicities and church experience. We share a love of and connection to God and each other, a sense of meaning and belonging, a yearning to grow in our faith, and a desire to serve Christ by reaching out to others in the community. We also have a lot of fun together.

Worship is at the heart of our life together, and Episcopal worship is rich in symbolism and tradition. At the same time, it is a contemporary expression of our belief and faith in a Living God who is present and accessible in material and ordinary things.

Laypeople and clergy cooperate as leaders at all levels of our church. Leadership is a gift from God, and can be expressed by all people in our church, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. We are delighted to offer the sacrament of marriage (and all other sacraments) to all couples, no matter their genders. We believe that God loves you – no exceptions.

Stewardship is the practice of caring for and working with all that we have. How we choose to spend our money is one sign of what is important to us, and it can be an intentional expression of gratitude for all that God has given us. A pledge is a promise most members of our church make each year for how we intend to give money to Church of the Resurrection in the next year. Annual pledges support everything we do here.
