Coat Drive | Church of the Resurrection

Join Church of the Resurrection’s collection of coats in support of One Warm Coat.

From November 3 – 24, a bin will be available in the plaza area to collect donations. Please ensure any donations are in excellent condition and freshly laundered.

One Warm Coat is a non-profit that provides free coats to children and adults in need while promoting volunteerism and environmental sustainability. For 32 years, One Warm Coat has been providing coats to people in need across all 50 states. One Warm Coat recently provided 20 pallets of outerwear to Western North Carolina as part of Disaster Relief initiative following Hurricane Helene.

Our community is made up of people of all ages, religious backgrounds, political positions, family configurations, ethnicities and church experience. Worship is at the heart of our life together, and Episcopal worship is rich in symbolism and tradition. At the same time, it is a contemporary expression of our belief and faith in a Living God who is present and accessible in material and ordinary things.

How we choose to spend our money is one sign of what is important to us, and it can be an intentional expression of gratitude for all that God has given us.
