Serve
Serving within and beyond our church is not the ministry of a single group or committee but is a part of who we are as a whole parish family, and this service takes many forms. We truly welcome and value all who come here, and we seek to extend Jesus’ uncompromising hospitality to all who are visiting, exploring or are members of the parish. There are many ways to serve within the church: helping to prepare for and lead worship, hosting coffee hour and other times for folks to gather, pitching in to take care of our buildings, gardens, orchard and vineyard, serving with our kids and teenagers, offering meals and rides to one another in challenging times, leading the congregation by serving on the vestry (board of directors) and plenty more. You can find the contact information for leaders in our directory or by contacting the office.
We also strive to serve the wider community and offer tangible love to our neighbors in need. We host events and participate in various outreach programs during the year including:
- Food Drives for Monument Crisis Center
- Christmas in July to gather backpacks and school supplies for underserved kids
- Warm Winter Nights family shelter
- Angel Tree, gathering Christmas presents for local families in need
- Party with a Purpose, a wonderful night of live music, good food and a silent auction to raise funds for organizations working to end homelessness in our community
- Supplying fruit from our orchard to the Contra Costa Food Bank

There are many ways that people serve here, ways both to care for each other and the community. Some are more obvious - leading worship, rallying clean-up days around the grounds, hosting coffee hour - and some…
